Dr Phillip McDonagh

BVSc (Hons I) PhD

Phil graduated from the University of Sydney in 2003 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science. After working for several years in small animal practice in Australia and overseas, Phil returned to Sydney to complete a PhD in virology, specifically looking at antiviral strategies for feline calicivirus and feline coronavirus. Throughout his PhD candidature, Phil was involved in the teaching of undergraduate veterinary science students in the fields of veterinary microbiology and veterinary pharmacology. Since completing his PhD, Phil has worked for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health in a number of roles, as a Technical Services Veterinarian, Head of Regulatory Affairs, Technical Services Manager, and currently Veterinary Medical Services Manager.

Phil has a particular interest in companion animal infectious and parasitic diseases.
